These are some images that I have been working on for tattoo flash. There are many more done and still more to go to get my flash set ready for sale, I just though I would post some WIPS so people did not think I fell off the face of the earth.. I still need to scan them in and clean up in Illustraor then off to Photoshop for the fun!

I have been working with a local tattoo artist and he is showing me the biz, and thought that Flash design would be a easy start for me to get quick cash as well as get an understanding of the limits and issues of tattoo design.

I can't wait to get the gear and start learing the art.

How do you get the lines so straight and even ? I have trouble getting them straight and not to thick. Your flashes look very professional. Amazing work by the way.

Getting the lines so straight is just a matter of practice. But I will offer you a tip that I use, I do the first pass of the inking in a thin ink pen (.05). Then I retrace with a wider pen or brush pen. This allow me to smooth out the lines and create the bold outline trap that I like to use around an image.

Just my 2cents.

That would depend, what type of biz are you in? What concepts art are you looking? And how close to my designs are yours going to be?

If your designs are "Inspired" by my work that is ok, but if they are directly used we can talk about some type of compensation ( like a Select Your Premium Membership at DA). But hey I am flexible :)

I also do work and logo design on commission.
